This is the perfect meal for people who don’t like Brussels sprouts! Keto ground pork and Brussels sprouts have a bold flavor you’ll love.
Ground Pork and Brussels Sprouts
This easy skillet meal is bursting with flavors – and not just from the spices and Worcestershire sauce. Ground pork is naturally so much more flavorful than ground beef, turkey, or chicken.
That’s not all – Brussels Sprouts have a unique (and noticeable) flavor too. When you cook them together with mushrooms, you get a dish that is perfectly balanced with different flavors.
Some people think that Brussels Sprouts aren’t sweet enough. That problem is solved when you add Worcestershire sauce, caramelized mushrooms, smoky paprika, and sweet Oregano.
As the Brussels sprouts cook, they soften and taste so much sweeter that you almost mistake them for cabbage!
Keto Pork Skillet
There are 6 grams net carbs in each serving, so this is a really filling meal that you can make yourself and your family for dinner. The ground pork tastes perfect with the Brussels sprouts and mushrooms, but you can use different types of ground meat instead.
Try it with beef, chicken, or turkey. If you use a lean meat (like chicken or turkey) I suggest adding more chili powder and paprika. Those types of meat tend to have a muted flavor.
This is a popular recipe for families because it’s so mild that kids enjoy eating it. If you like to add heat to your meals, then I suggest adding red pepper flakes to the skillet or splashing some of your favorite hot sauce on top!
Shredded Brussels Sprouts Skillet
How do you shred Brussels sprouts? There are two ways. The first way takes the longest.
Use your knife to cut off the ends and then slice the sprouts lengthwise. This will create shreds.
The easier way to shred Brussels sprouts is to place them in a food processor and hit the button. Let the machine do all the work!
Can you use a blender instead? I don’t recommend trying to chop Brussels Sprouts with a blender because they usually aren’t high powered enough.
What To Eat With Brussels Sprouts
Since these Brussels sprouts are cooked with ground pork, this is a filling and hearty entree. So, when you’re thinking of what to make with it, think of nutritious side dishes.
My sauteed radish recipe will taste amazing with it. If you like cheese, then keto cabbage au gratin will taste amazing with the Brussels Sprouts.
If you’d rather serve something snacky on the side, then make pink keto pickled deviled eggs. They have a surprisingly mild and tangy flavor that everyone gobbles up.
How To Store Cooked Brussels Sprouts
Add this easy skillet dinner to your weekly meal prep. Since it’s made without cheese or dairy, they store really well.
Keep the leftover ground pork and brussels sprouts in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days. Then, reheat the dish in the microwave.
This is a freezer-friendly meal, too! Keep it in a freezer-friendly food storage bag and remove all the air before putting it in the freezer.
Store the meal in the freezer for up to six months. Then, reheat it in the skillet.
