Cabbage and Shrimp Recipe
Is this a side dish or a main entree? It’s up to you!

It’s filling enough to a nutritious lunch and light enough to be a side dish for dinner. The best thing about it is that it’s incredibly simple.
This skillet recipe is basically some peeled shrimp that’s seasoned and sauteed with chopped napa cabbage. That’s it!
The entire recipe will be finished in about 20 minutes.
This is such an easy recipe that after making it one time, you won’t need to read the recipe again. In fact, you can adjust the spices to your taste.
Keep reading and I’ll share some tips about why I chose the ingredients and spices for this easy shrimp and cabbage skillet.
Sauteed Cabbage With Shrimp
There are 7 grams net carbs in each serving, but this recipe makes four large servings. It’s a very filling dish!

I suggest using large or jumbo shrimp. Since this is the only source of protein in the recipe, you want to use shrimp that’s bigger than bite-sized.
I used garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika for the spices. If you want to kick up the aroma and flavor, I suggest using real minced garlic instead of garlic powder.
The onion powder is optional, because there is half of an onion in the recipe.
Lemon Napa Cabbage
You shouldn’t skip or change two ingredients: fresh lemon juice and Napa cabbage. Napa cabbage is a green one with a long oval shape.

It’s the kind of cabbage that is used in Kimchi and has a mild and sweet flavor. It’s milder than green or red cabbage, which is why I used it with the shrimp.
I also recommend using lemon juice from a fresh lemon. Jarred lemon juice has a milder flavor and isn’t nearly as sweet.
You just can’t replicate the taste and zest of a fresh lemon, so grab one from the store and use it as soon as possible.
What To Eat With Shrimp
Since there are 7 grams net carbs in each serving, you will need to be careful with what you serve with it so you don’t go over your macros. I suggest making some low-carb side dishes, like Low Carb Garlic Butter Cauliflower Rice.

You could also make Keto Cheesy Asparagus With Bacon. The bacon will taste amazing with the shrimp.
Or bring out the garlic flavor in the cabbage and shrimp and make either Easy Keto Garlic Knots or Cheesy Keto Garlic Bread. If you want to use the shrimp and cabbage as a side dish, then make Keto Garlic Chicken With Tomato Cream Sauce as the main entree.
How To Store Shrimp
Use the cabbage and shrimp recipe in your weekly meal prep. It tastes delicious the next day when you reheat it in the microwave.

Store leftovers in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
