With the iconic sweetness of (sugar-free) maple syrup, this keto maple garlic chicken is the best way to dinner for your family.
Keto Maple Chicken
Everyone knows (and loves) sugar-free honey as a sweetener for chicken or other meats. But have you tried to use sugar-free maple syrup?
It adds another depth to an otherwise mild-flavored protein. And you don’t need much to completely sweeten the entire recipe.
Instead of making just the chicken breasts, I made a skillet dinner with two types of meat, lots of veggies, and a bunch of spices. This is a meal the entire family will love. It even makes the bell peppers and broccoli taste good!
Maple Garlic Chicken
What is your favorite type of chicken to cook and eat? Well, you can use it in this recipe!
I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts because I found them on sale and they’re really easy to prep. Maple garlic chicken will also taste really good with chicken thighs, too!
There are 7 grams net carbs in each serving. That means this is a really filling meal!
It has everything you need to feel full and satisfied. The veggies, chicken, and sausage work together seamlessly to create an unforgettable and easy dinner.
Chicken and Sausage Skillet
I love how deliciously the natural smoked sausage tastes with the mild chicken breasts. If you want to add more flavor, use some spicy sausage. Or, mix in some crispy bacon pieces for a bit of smokiness.
What is the best kind of sausage to cook in a skillet with chicken? You can use any type of smoked sausage that you want.
Keilbasa, pork, beef, or a combination of all of it will taste really good together. And to give it some kick, don’t forget the ginger paste!
That’s a very important part.
Best Veggies With Chicken
What are the best kind of veggies to saute with chicken and sausage? Any types of vegetables will taste good in this recipe.
If you’re on keto, you should pay close attention to how many carbs are in the veggies. I used bell peppers, onion, and broccoli florets.
But if you want to make some changes, here are some veggies I suggest adding to the meal. But be careful with the carbs because as you add veggies, you’ll also add carbs.
I love zucchini and mushrooms. Or you could replace the broccoli with cauliflower florets.
Easy Skillet Recipe
You know those days when you really don’t feel like cooking? This is the perfect recipe for those days.
The entire meal – the protein and the veggies – are cooked in the same skillet. The most difficult part is cutting up the chicken, sausage, and veggies but you can save a lot of time by doing that ahead of time.
You really don’t need any sides with it. But if you want to add something low-carb, make a cucumber salad or a high-protein dip.
This will quickly become one of your favorite keto skillet recipes!
