Tender, earthy mushrooms and juicy chicken topped with ranch and bacon – it’s the perfect dinner! This mushroom chicken skillet is an easy recipe for beginner cooks too.
Mushroom Chicken Skillet
This 30-minute dinner will feed your entire family. The ingredients are easy to find and you can make as many changes as you want to make this taste just how you like it.
This is one of those basic recipes that you can put on the menu every week. If your family isn’t on the keto diet, make some rice or mashed potatoes for them and some keto-friendly sides for yourself.
The flavor is what stands out the mot for me. I love how the creamy sauce enhances the flavors of the ranch dressing and the crispy bacon. It’s the perfect family meal.
Keto Ranch Chicken Skillet
Bacon and ranch dressing go together like chocolate and peanut butter! I’ve used this combination a lot before because the flavors complement each other perfectly.
I made keto chicken bacon ranch pizza for lunch and cheesy keto chicken bacon ranch casserole for dinner. And one of my most popular egg salad recipes is still my bacon ranch egg salad.
You will only use a few tablespoons of dry ranch seasoning. So take this tip: buy a large jar of dry ranch seasoning. You can use it over and over again in those other recipes, all without having to buy more packets at the store.
Ranch Chicken and Mushrooms
For this recipe, I suggest using chicken breasts. Save money and get frozen chicken breasts – just let them thaw enough so that you can cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
You can use boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts – both cuts of chicken will taste delicious in this recipe. What is the best kind of mushrooms to use in a chicken skillet? I suggest slicing white mushrooms or baby bella mushrooms.
Honestly, any type of mushrooms at the grocery store will taste delicious so don’t be afraid to mix it up and use a few different varieties together.
What To Eat With Chicken
This is a perfect family meal, so add some classic recipes with it. Serve this with your favorite mashed cauliflower recipe.
Another popular choice is to serve it with something colder like an easy keto broccoli salad. If you love green beans, make your favorite green bean casserole on the side.
Add some flaky keto garlic knots and your favorite Italian chopped salad and keto cheesy cauliflower breadsticks. Or make some keto antipasto skewers as fun finger foods to eat on the side.
Don’t forget about dessert! A huge keto skillet chocolate chip cookie is the perfect way to end the meal.
Chicken Meal Prep
This is the perfect meal to add to your weekly meal prep! Store your cooked mushroom chicken in an airtight food storage container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
You can also freeze it! Store the cooked chicken in a freezer-safe bag and keep it in the freezer for up to six months.
Then, reheat the meal in a skillet again. You might need to add some butter.
