Even though they are highly processed, little smokies are ok to eat in moderation when you’re on the keto diet. There is just one gram net carbs in five little smokies sausage links.

It’s important to eat enough fat on the keto diet, too. This is because the fat makes you feel full for longer and helps your body burn fat for energy instead of carbs. Little Smokies are a fantastic source of fats, with 11 grams of fat in five links. 

So,  yes, you can eat Little Smokies on keto. Just be careful with what kind of sauce you use with them. 

Keto Appetizer

Unlike other little smoke recipes, these are a mess-free appetizer that you can serve at parties. All you have to do is insert a toothpick into each one and guests can pick them up.

The combination of sweet and spicy flavors in the rub makes these keto little smokies irresistible. As they bake, your kitchen will be filled with a tantalizing combination of spices.

From the caramelized brown sugar substitute to the earthy rosemary and thyme, this is a perfect spice blend. 

Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies

In order for the bacon to bake correctly, I suggest using either thin-sliced or regular bacon. Do not use thick sliced bacon.

If the bacon is too thick, it will take too long to bake, create too much grease, and could make the Little Smokies get overcooked in the process. 

It’s also important that you cut each piece of bacon into three pieces. Since Little Smokies are so small, it only takes 1/3 of a piece of bacon to wrap around each one. 

Easy Party Food 

You’ll be able to make these little smokies in 45 minutes or less! They are a really fast and easy party food. If you’re hosting a party, make a bunch of other keto-friendly appetizers.

You can make sweet and spicy little smokies up to three days before the party. Just store them in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Ingredients:

Beef Little Smokies
Regular sliced bacon (not thick sliced)
Swerve brown sugar substitute
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Paprika
Rosemary
Thyme
Cayenne pepper 
Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the bacon into 3rd’s.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each Little Smokie, and place them seam side down on the baking sheet.
