Pile on your favorite toppings and enjoy keto Tostadas guilt-free. These crispy chicken tostadas are as spicy as you make them.

What Are Tostadas
Tostadas are a popular Mexican dish consisting of fried or toasted tortillas topped with a variety of ingredients. The term “tostada” actually means “toasted” in Spanish, and it refers to the crispy or toasted tortilla that serves as the base for the dish.

They are usually made with corn tortillas that are fried to crispy perfection. Then, a base of refried beans are added as the next layer, and from there, people can get creative!
They are made with any kind of meat – beef, steak, pulled pork, or shredded chicken. You’ll also usually find tostadas with lettuce, salsa, and cheese on top.
Keto Tostadas
Unfortunately, tostadas are not normally keto-friendly. If you go to a Mexican restaurant, the tostadas will be made from corn or flour tortillas – which have too many carbs.

In order to make tostadas fit into my keto diet, I used keto-friendly tortillas. There are a lot of different kinds out there – find the ones that work with your body. I prefer the zero-carb tortillas from Mission.
From that point, I added my favorite low-carb toppings! If you follow my recipe exactly, there are 2 grams net carbs in each tostada. WOW! That’s incredibly low.
You can enjoy a few of them for lunch and feel super full and satisfied!
What To Eat With Tostadas
These tostadas taste delicious by themselves. Since they are filled with juicy chicken, melted cheese, and spicy peppers, you don’t need to add much to the table with them.

The best things to eat with tostadas are Keto Mexican Street Cauliflower and Keto Mexican Cauliflower Rice. They are both made with cauliflower but taste so different!

Keto Mexican street cauliflower tastes like Mexican street corn. And the cauliflower rice is incredibly aromatic (and it’s easy to make it super spicy if you want).
If you’re going to serve the tostadas for dinner, add a bowl of Keto White Chili to the table. It’s made with chicken too, and has flavors that perfectly complement the spicy tostadas.
Tostada Toppings
What do you like to add on top of Tostadas? Meat, cheese, salsa, peppers, and tomatoes are popular toppings. Other people like to add shredded lettuce for a delightful crunch!
If you like crunch, then some fresh Keto Radish Salsa will be perfect! It has an incredible flavor.

And you can’t go wrong with Keto Guacamole! It’s creamy and adds necessary healthy fat to the tostadas. If you add guac, it will increase the net carbs, but it will also keep you feeling full for longer too!
How To Store Tostadas
The best way to store the tostadas is to keep each topping in separate airtight containers. Do not store tostadas with toppings on the tortillas. If you do, then the toppings will soften the tortillas and they won’t be as crispy (which is part of the fun!).

To warm them back up, just arrange each topping on the tostada and heat it up in a toaster oven, air fryer, or oven until it is heated through. If you heat it up in the microwave, it will soften the tortillas too much.
