Perfect for a beautiful lunch with friends, or a treat for yourself! These keto tea sandwiches are filled with a creamy veggie spread that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Tea Sandwiches
These cute little sandwiches are also called English tea sandwiches or afternoon tea sandwiches. As the name implies, they were originally created to be enjoyed with an afternoon tea as a way of curbing hunger so that the person can wait until the larger main meal at the end of the day.

Tea sandwiches are usually small, crustless, and can be served in different shapes. Most of the time, they are small enough to be eaten in two or three bites.
There are a huge variety of different types of tea sandwiches. Today, I’m sharing a recipe that is low-carb, gluten-free, and filled with an incredibly delicious (and healthy) cream cheese spread.
Cream Cheese Spread
The cream cheese spread in this sandwich is so hearty and delicious that you can use it as a dip for parties! The fresh dill and chives really make this dip taste and look incredible.

Trust me, use the fresh herbs! Dried till won’t taste or smell nearly as good as the fresh version.
And if you’re on the keto diet, use full-fat cream cheese and let it soften before mixing it with the vegetables. Cold cream cheese is really difficult to mix!
The full-fat cream cheese is full of healthy fats that you body needs so it can stay in fat-burning mode.
Best Vegetables For Lunch
Another quick tip – since you’re going to be mixing the veggies into the cream cheese, make sure they are chopped into really tiny pieces. This will make the sandwiches easier to eat.

There are just 3 grams net carbs in each sandwich! And this recipe makes six sandwiches. For this dip, I used a combination of celery, carrots red bell pepper, and cucumbers.
These are all low-carb vegetables that are high in nutrients and minerals that your body needs. Feel free to use any color of bell peppers.
If you don’t like the flavor of any of them, leave them out.
Healthy Lunch Ideas
These little sandwiches are the perfect thing to munch on with your lunch. Don’t let their small size fool you, they are actually really filling.

What else do you like to eat for lunch on the keto diet? Enjoy these tea sandwiches with some Keto Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets and a bowl of keto Cheesecake Factory chopped salad.
If you like finger foods, then make some keto Italian pinwheels or leave out the bread entirely and make keto Big Mac bites. Or mix up the flavors entirely and add some Tex-Mex to the table – keto tostadas are just as spicy as you make them.
How Long Does Cream Cheese Last
How long your cream cheese will last depends on whether it is opened or not. If you keep it in the refrigerator unopened, the cream cheese will last about one month past the “best when purchased by” date that is printed on the package.

If you make this veggie cream cheese spread, store it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
