I’m a creature of habit and with the constant commotion that work brings to my days, the need to meal plan is always there.

Low-Carb Easy To Make Egg Roll In A Bowl

We’ve been sticking to specific meals, but recently we decided to switch things up a bit and try to incorporate not only meatless meal nights but also carb-free nights. Below is a new favorite of ours. It’s a simple low-carb egg roll in a bowl.

This egg roll in a bowl is a delicious alternative to the classic egg roll! It’s got all the tasty flavors of an egg roll without the carbs and only takes 10-15 minutes to make – you can’t beat that!

I tried this today with left-over pork roast! Also, used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce..
It turned out delicious… this will be a repeat at my house!

I had this for dinner this evening and it was delish! I did substitute the ground sausage for ground turkey, used the entire bag of cole slaw mix (10 cups), added 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, and 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce. It was so yummy ?. Thanks for the recipe!

This is a wonderful recipe! I add either a pinch or ground clove and pinch of cinnamon or instead, a pinch of Chinese 5 spice powder… really ups the egg roll flavor for some odd reason! Try it!

This was delicious! Added a bit of cilantro and crushed red pepper. A little more soy sauce at the end. It was supposed to be saved for lunch for work but the family kept eating it. Back to the store for more ingredients to make it again. It’s a keeper.

For us, good news and bad news with this recipe. The good: not only does it taste so much like an egg roll, but it’s crazy easy to make. The bad: it tastes so much like an egg roll that I kept feeling like I was missing something and couldn’t fully enjoy it. I’ve got to brain storm something keto, crispy and chip-like to eat with this because I just want more texture. But the flavors are great.

Not quite chip like, but we use butter lettuce leaves. They’re quite a bit thicker texture than other lettuces and it tricks your mind that you’re having a “roll”! It’s got a good crunch, too!

What are the nutritional facts on this recipe? Wondering how many servings and how many carbs per serving? AND ALL YOUR RECIPES? IS SOY SAUCE KETO? I THOUGHT ONLY SOMETHING LIKE RED BOAT FISH SAUCE CAN BE USED AS SOY SAUCE REPLACEMENT………. AM I WRONG? THANKS

Coconut Aminos (Soy Sauce Alternative) is a great source of sodium and electrolytes so it’s perfect if you’re experiencing a bit of the keto flu! It’s great for those with gluten allergies or anyone who wants to avoid (even fermented) soy,
Regular doses of soy aren’t recommended for a ketogenic diet. It’s a higher carb food, usually very processed, and just isn’t that good of quality to begin with.

I add onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, tamari, (which is gluten free), but I do not make egg rolls. I have used soft lettuce before to make a wrap however, and it’s yummy and very filling. I find these additional ingredients make it taste more like an egg roll.
