The sauce on this low-carb sweet and sour kielbasa is so good, you’ll want to lick your plate clean! It even makes the veggies taste good!
Sweet and Sour Kielbasa
I love making takeout recipes at home – and this is a near-perfect dupe of Chinese sweet and sour chicken…but with smoked sausage! Sweet and sour kielbasa hits different – in the best way possible.
By making the recipes at home, I can satisfy those cravings without giving up all the work I’ve done in my keto journey.
So, if I’m wanting to order Chinese delivery, I’ll just fry up this recipe instead! The flavors still remind me of sweet and sour chicken, but the kielbasa has a bolder flavor from the smoked meat.
Plus, you’ll save a lot of time when you don’t bread and fry up chicken pieces! The result is a hearty dinner that will fill you up and nourish your body at the same time.
Asian Kielbasa
A lot of Asian or Chinese recipes are made with either chicken, pork, or beef. And sometimes you’ll find a few made with tofu but you don’t usually see kielbasa on the menu.
Turns out, this is a really easy to way to add more flavor to your dish without adding more carbs! Oh, and it also does another thing – it makes you feel full for longer, too.
Do you have to use kielbasa? No, you don’t.
Whether you don’t like it or you just don’t have any in the house, this recipe will taste delicious without the kielbasa or Polish sausage links, too. Use bacon or ham as an easy replacement or just leave it out and use chicken as the only protein.
Kielbasa Stir Fry
This recipe is bursting with your favorite Asian flavors. I used all of my favorite spices and sauces and the result is so delicious, you’ll want to drizzle the pan juices onto your vegetables.
You might even put kielbasa stir fry on your weekly menu, too!
What’s in the sauce? I used sugar-free ketchup, Swerve brown sugar substitute, soy sauce, garlic, and rice vinegar.
All of those ingredients are easy to find. But you can also make any changes that you need to.
Instead of rice vinegar, use white vinegar. And instead of soy sauce and brown sugar substitute, you can use some keto-friendly teriyaki sauce.
Best Vegetables For Stir Fry
Can you use a bag of frozen stir fry vegetables in this recipe? I don’t recommend it, no.
A lot of them will have high-carb vegetables in the mix, like mini corn on the cobs. It’s much better to chop up your own vegetables or grab some peppers and onions from the produce section that are already sliced.
This is the perfect recipe to add to your weekly meal prep! It reheats easily in the microwave.
Keep your leftovers in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Easy Kielbasa Recipes
I love cooking with kielbasa sausages. As they fry, they get this incredible caramelized flavor that enhances any recipes I make.
After preparing this easy low-carb sweet and sour kielbasa recipe, you might want to keep finding new recipes to make with sausage. Well, I have a bunch of them.
First, start out with Keto Creamy Kielbasa and Cauliflower Soup. It’s a lighter soup that’s perfect when you want something comforting.
For something Italian, make Keto Sausage and Peppers Scallopini. But if you want something with a creamy sauce, make Keto Creamy Italian Smoked Sausage Skillet.
