With a base of Greek yogurt and cream cheese, this low-carb Caprese dip is filled with your favorite Italian spices and veggies. It’s a show-stopping, lip-smacking dip everyone loves.

Caprese Dip
Italian-food lovers, this dip is for you! Caprese recipes are known for having mozzarella cheese and other Italian ingredients.

I’ve made a bunch of keto-friendly Caprese recipes before – like my Keto Caprese Roll Ups and my Keto Caprese Chicken. This time, I’m taking all my favorite Italian ingredients and making an irresistible dip!
You’ll be proud to share this anytime you need to bring snacks or appetizers. Big game? Bring it! Holiday party? It fits right in.
How about a late-night movie? Bring the dip and some pork rinds.
It’s an all-purpose dip that fits in with any occasion (and it’s so easy to make!). Keep reading and I’ll share all my secrets so you can make the perfect dip every single time.
Keto Caprese Dip
If you glance at all the ingredients in this scrumptious dip, it probably won’t surprise you that there are six grams net carbs in each serving.

But I chose every ingredient on purpose. It’s a nourishing, nutritious, and filling dip that will make you feel full.
This is also the perfect dip to add to any holiday table. The bright red tomatoes with the green fresh basil give it a little festive flair.
It doesn’t use holiday ingredients (like cranberries or pumpkin) so you can bring it to any event, any time of year.
Basil Cheese Dip
There are some ingredients in this recipe you can change, and others I suggest you stick with. First, please use fresh chopped basil.

I used both, but fresh has a stronger aroma and better flavor. But you can use any type of tomato that you want.
I used cherry and Roma tomatoes because I like the difference in texture and shape, but any variety will work. You can also replace the sour cream with more Greek yogurt.
And a white or yellow onion is a perfect replacement for the shallot. If you make any changes to this recipe, let me know in the comments.
I’d love to hear about other recipe modifications people make.
Cheesy Tomato Dip
You can certainly make this cheesy tomato dip ahead of time or keep leftovers for later. Store your caprese dip in an airtight container.

Keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Then, reheat it in a skillet or the microwave. Remember, the dip might thicken, but as soon as you heat it up, it will melt again.
Can you make it in the slow cooker? I don’t recommend it.
If you have a small one and only use it to keep it warm, that will be OK. However, cooking it in the slow cooker might actually lead to the dip burning.
I also prefer not to cook dairy-based recipes in the slow cooker because it causes the ingredients to separate.
Keto Dippers
What are your favorite things to use as dippers while you’re on the keto diet? I like to use sliced cucumbers and bell peppers – especially for Italian recipes like this one.

They’re crunchy, full of fiber, and you don’t have to cook them! But you can also make keto tortilla chips by baking some keto tortillas.
For something extra fun, use some slices from Keto Viral Onion Ring Pizza with this dip. Or dip your Low-Carb Healthy Onion Rings into it.
Since dips are usually a snack or party food, here are some more appetizers that you can serve at a party. How about some Keto Cream Cheese Bagel Bites?
They are so much fun to just pop into your mouth! For something sweet, make Keto Cinnamon Cream Cheese Bites and for something with lots of protein, make Keto Italian Sushi.
