Pan Seared Chicken Thighs
There is less than 1 gram net carb in each serving of these incredibly delicious chicken thighs. How big is a serving? An entire chicken thigh is one serving.
This is one of the easiest ways to cook chicken thighs. I used the recognizable spice combination that we all love – Italian seasoning with a little extra garlic and onion powder. The result is a tasty, savory, herbaceous chicken that everyone will love.
Do you keep the skin on chicken thighs when you fry them? Yes, leave the skin on. This is what gets all crispy and releases the flavorful juices into the pan. It also locks the flavor into the chicken and prevents it from drying out as it cooks. So, definitely leave the skin on.
Best Way To Cook Chicken In A Skillet
First, I always recommend frying chicken thighs in a skillet instead of chicken breasts. The dark meat stays juicier after it cooks than white meat breasts do.
Next, Make sure the skillet is coated in your favorite fat. I used olive oil to cook the chicken and then butter to make the skin extra crispy and flavorful but you can also use avocado oil instead of olive oil.
And you don’t have to add seasoning under the skin. Some cooks think it adds flavor to the meat. But as it cooks, the flavors from the spices will naturally soak into the meat.

This is a really versatile chicken recipe that goes with tons of easy low-carb side dish recipes. Serve it with your favorite chopped salad and some garlic butter cauliflower rice.
It also tastes perfect with garlic butter cauliflower mash and some parmesan green beans.
Do you love bacon? Then, serve the chicken thighs with some bacon-wrapped asparagus. Or make a bowl of keto French onion deviled egg salad for a quick lunch, along with a few stuffed mushrooms.
How To Store Cooked Chicken
If you’re going to use this in your weekly meal prep, chop it up and keep it in your meal prep containers. They will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Then, eat it cold on top of a chopped salad, or heat it up and eat it just like it is.
